Michael Myers is a fun custom game to play with friends when you’re ready to take a break in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The game is essentially hide and seek. The premise is the seeker, Michael Myers, has a limited amount of time to find the hiders. Below, we’ll show you the classes for the seeker, hider, and the game options. We’ll also give you some map suggestions rated by difficulty for Michael Myers.
Michael Myers (Seeker) Class Setup
The setup for Michael Myers himself is pretty simple. It doesn’t really matter what primary weapon you chose, as you will have your knife out the whole time and your equipped weapon is the only one that affects mobility.
Tactical | Flashbang
The flashbang can be used once against the seekers to blind them, making it easier to swoop in for the kill. The grenade doesn’t slow enemy movement, so the only disadvantage the hiders will have is an inability to see where they are going.
Lethal | Tomahawk
The lethal here doesn’t matter too much, as you won’t be using it.
Field Upgrade | Jammer
The Jammer is a great tool for Michael Myers to use. It disables enemy minimap in its radius as well as scrambling any field mics in the vicinity.
Perks | Ninja, Paranoia, Forward Intel
The perk choices here are pretty self-explanatory. Ninja allows the seeker to sneak up more easily on hiders. Paranoia lets Michael Myers know if anyone is behind him looking in his direction. Forward Intel just expands the minimap.
Wildcard | Law Breaker
Law Breaker is chosen just so that multiple perks can be taken from the same perk classes. It allows you to take a primary weapon as your secondary, but we need the knife to play.
Victim (Hider) Class Setup
The setup for the victim is intended to allow for easier hiding and evasion, and less for a straight-up assault. It is also set up to give the hiders the ability to approximate Michael Myers’ position.
Tactical | Smoke Grenade
The smoke grenade is an integral part of the loadout for the hider. The smoke can be used to throw off the seeker or to provide a break in the line of sight during a chase to juke out Michael Myers.
Lethal | Tomahawk
Just like with Michael Myers’ class, the tomahawk is just for show. You won’t be using a lethal.
Field Upgrade | Trophy System
The trophy system is mostly a throwaway, however, it can be used to catch the singular flashbang awarded to the seeker. The more hiders, the more trophy systems, the higher the chance to catch the flashbang.
Perks | Tracker, Quartermaster, Forward Intel
The perks here are also pretty straightforward. Tracker allows the hiders to be able to see if Michael Myers has been in the area recently. Quartermaster gives them the ability to recharge spent smoke grenades. Forward intel, again, just expands the minimap, making it easier to see where your fellow hiders are at.
Wildcard | Law Breaker
Again, Law Breaker is chosen just so that multiple perks can be taken from the same perk classes.
Michael Myers Black Ops Cold War Custom Game Settings
The first step is to set up a default team deathmatch game. Change the time limit to 11 minutes or less depending on the number of players. Under spawn, make sure every player only gets one life. No second chances in this horror movie. You can disable the cinematic intro under gameplay if you’d wish. This speeds up the amount of time it takes to get into the match. Lastly, under custom classes disable lethal equipment. We won’t be needing it for this custom game.
Rules for Black Ops Michael Myers
The rules are pretty simple. Set Michael Myers to a team, and the rest of the hiders to the other team. On spawn, the seeker will turn to face a wall in spawn for exactly one minute. During this minute, the hiders will, well, hide. Once the minute is over, the seeker will have exactly ten minutes, or whatever time was set, to find and eliminate all of the hiders. If even a single hider survives until the end of the match, the hiders win.
Guns can only be used to taunt Michael Myers. Firing your weapon gives away your position on the minimap, letting the seeker know your approximate position.
Three Maps with Three Difficulties
Easy | Checkmate
Checkmate is a pretty easy map for the seeker to find everyone. There are plenty of hiding spaces, but the map is fairly confined. Definitely a good choice for a small number of players.
Medium | Armada
Armada is about as small as Checkmate. However, the big empty section in the middle makes it difficult to easily traverse for the seeker. Plus, there is a lot of vertical movement options for the hiders.
Hard | Cartel
Cartel is a huge map to play Michael Meyers on. The seeker has a lot of ground to cover and the hiders can fairly easily change spots on a whim. This map is best suited for large parties and those looking for a challenge.
