As you’ve probably already seen by now, there’s a really cool easter egg you can perform on the new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War map, Nuketown ’84. In this article, we’ll show you some examples and tell you how you can do it yourself.
The easter egg on Nuketown ’84 is actually incredibly easy to pull off. That being said, it can be a little on the difficult side for only two people. You are best off grabbing some friends to carry out this one.
How To Do The Easter Egg
To start this one off, set up a custom game with your friends on Nuketown ’84. Now, this is unconfirmed, but in testing, we seemingly discovered that setting the time to unlimited made the easter egg impossible to pull off. So make sure there is a time limit on your game, and you should be ready to go! Once in the game, all players must rush to shoot the head off of every mannequin on the map. You have about 60 seconds to remove their heads. Be aware that while the mannequins have fixed spots, the spot they end up in is decided randomly. If you play multiple matches to attempt to recreate the easter egg, they may be difficult to find.
Once you have removed all of the heads, provided you accomplish this task in less than a minute, an effect will play on your screen. The easter egg is now complete. When we were first looking up how to do the easter egg on Nuketown ’84 via IGN, they informed us that the filters applied were either blue or purple. While we did not encounter the purple filter, we did find out about a trippy green filter, seen above. This filter almost makes it appear as if everyone is wearing night-vision goggles.
There you have it. You now have the tools and the knowledge to perform the Nuketown ’84 easter egg with your friends on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. One last thing to note, the easter egg is possible to complete in online matchmaking. However, unless a whole lobby agrees to do it, you may find it extremely difficult. Happy Hunting!
